THE BEAUTIFUL SEASIDE TOWN WITH AN AWARD-WINNING BEACH THAT MUSIC STARS FLOCK TO

This small seaside town is usually a peaceful spot for dog walkers, kite flyers and family picnics overlooking a beautiful sandy beach.

But every year Lytham Green, in the Lancashire town of Lytham St Annes, is transformed into a vibrant live music hub for five nights, welcoming artists from around the world will perform to crowds of up to 120,000 people.

The Lytham Festival 2024 will run from Wednesday, 3 July to Saturday, July 7, with Shania Twain, the record-breaking country pop artist, set to be the star attraction this summer. The festival, held on the banks of Lancashire's Ribble Estuary, has announced the global superstar as their final headliner for the July event.

The five-time Grammy award winner will take to the stage at the North West's biggest music festival on Thursday, 4 July, with support from triple Brit and Ivor Novello Award winner Rag'n'Bone Man. She joins an already impressive line-up of headliners including Courteeners, Madness, James and Hozier, along with a host of other stars.

Lytham Festival has become a highlight on the music calendar, evolving from a modest one-night community event into a spectacular five-day extravaganza, drawing crowds of over 120,000 each summer.

Set against the picturesque backdrop of Lancashire's Ribble Estuary, the festival has seen a parade of music legends grace its stage, including Lionel Richie, Billy Ocean, Diana Ross, Duran Duran, Kylie, Lewis Capaldi, Noel Gallagher's High Flying Birds, Nile Rodgers and CHIC, Rod Stewart, Stereophonics, The Strokes, Tom Jones, and many others.

TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival 2024 begins on Wednesday, July 3, with a headline performance from internationally acclaimed Irish singer-songwriter Hozier. He will be joined by Alabama Shakes' Brittany Howard and Los Angeles-based indie folk band Lord Huron.

On Friday night, Manchester's own Courteeners will perform their only North of England headline show of the summer, supported by English pop-rock band The Kooks and rising indie pop star Nieve Ella. Saturday will see Madness take the stage, with support from pop icon Rick Astley and Liverpool's Lightning Seeds.

In a 2024 UK festival exclusive, indie legends James, accompanied by the Orca22 Orchestra and the Manchester Inspirational Voices Gospel Choir, will close the festival on Sunday, 7 July. They will be supported by Johnny Marr.

Festival co-founder Peter Taylor couldn't hide his excitement as he announced: "We have a complete line up and I am delighted. Shania Twain is the Queen of country music. She is a global icon and we cannot wait to welcome her to TK Maxx presents Lytham Festival. This will be an amazing night and announcing her as our fifth headliner is the icing on the cake for the summer.

"Every headline artist we have on the bill for 2024 is in the top 20 of artists we are repeatedly asked to deliver, and once again we have programmed five very different nights of live music appealing to a very wide audience."

Taylor also revealed another big name joining the festival, adding: "Alongside our headliners we also have incredible special guests and support artists and to quite literally have the Giant that is Rag'n'Bone Man joining our bill is fantastic."
