GLASTONBURY REVELLER LEAVES BRITS HOWLING AFTER WAVING 'HENRY HOOVER ON STICK'

Glastonbury is a festival renowned for its wild outpouring of British humour and having appearances from the top artists of the year.

People will spend months planning what iconic meme will be on their flag of the event — from Maryam Moshiri's middle finger mishap on the BBC to Rishi Sunak's lack of Sky TV. But one reveller in particular sent attendees into a spin.

Instead of a flag, they opted to mount a Henry Hoover atop of a large poll and wave him around in the air. A Henry Hoover is a British brand vacuum cleaner known for its smiley face on the red canister.

It has a reputation for durability and reliable performance in household cleaning tasks. However, it has been known to be the subject of many viral memes on social media.

The hilarious scenes, which were shared to social media, showed the smiling red appliance bouncing up and down in the air. The long nozzle appeared to have been shortened and the inside had been taken out and filled with lights, giving him a glow through the plastic shell.

The video racked up more than 169,000 likes as TikTok user Jamie Keeble dubbed him: "The true MVP of Glastonbury 2024." Viewers were left equally as amused as they took to the comments to share in the joke.

One user joked: "Hoovering up the vibes," while someone else penned: "Henry Hoover is living his best life."

Another added: "The commitment to carrying that is next level." Meanwhile, a fourth quipped: "Henry having the time of his life! He deserves a break after all that cleaning."

The news comes after former One Direction member Louis Tomlinson was dubbed 'hero' after he set up his TV at Glastonbury for the England match. Festival-goers were set to miss out on watching England's latest match in the Euros after bosses refused to show the game at the festival on June 30.
