Pasig City, which founding anniversary falls on the 2nd of July, is a highly urbanized residential-commercial city situated along the eastern border of Metro Manila–right at the southern tip of the Pasig river. According to Pasig City’s official website, there are a total of 368 schools in Pasig City, both public and private.

The enrollment season has begun and in a few more weeks, the school gates shall welcome new and returning learners for the upcoming academic year. If you are a parent of a preschooler residing in Pasig and still ticking the boxes off your "school hunting" checklist; pondering where to send your little one to, here’s a list of preschools you might consider checking out.

As a DepEd- recognized school, D’Paul Kiddie Center is one of the pioneer preschools in Pasig. This school has become an institution due to its enduring legacy of educational training for nursery and kindergartners since 1976. The school offers preschool programs with 15-20 kids per Nursery class w/ 2 teachers and 20-25 kids per Kinder class. Kinder classes will start on July 24 while Nursery classes will start on July 30.

P.R.E.P Center Manila is a progressive school that offers in-person classes that seek to promote the development of each child as a whole; encompassing his physical, socio-emotional, and cognitive skills. According to their site, "children's interests and curiosities are at the forefront of each day spent in school with play being the main mode of learning. Children pursue the answers to the questions they have for a particular topic through a project investigation. Children work with concrete materials and explore these actively."

The Pasig learning center is temporarily closed but the school has homeschooling programs that might interest some parents who wish to homeschool. It has programs for Nursery to Kindergarten pupils whose age bracket is from 2-5 years old. The parent-led homeschooling programs (no formal online classes) currently has two options :

Option 1: Homeschool Program (Inclusions: 1 textbook per subject/lesson plan / online teacher-parent consultation 2x a month / DepEd Certificate and LRN for Kinder students / "Busy Box" (free shipping nationwide) and access to virtual parties
