Does the perfect summer scent exist? If you asked me a month ago, I probably would've said no. After all, how can you bottle up all the vibes of the summer season? It's impossible. But that thought quickly changed once I got a chance to try Sol de Janeiro's brand new Cheirosa 48 perfume. Let me tell you, it truly is summer in a bottle.
The Sol de Janeiro Cheirosa 48 Perfume Mist is the latest addition to the brand's super popular collection of fragrances. Celebs, influencers, editors, and even your fellow shoppers just can't seem to get enough of the line, and the new Cheirosa 48 is sure to be a fan-fave fast. Per its description, the fragrance was meant to celebrate the "energy of 1948," which was when the first bikini was spotted in Brazil. The scent itself is delicious, and features top notes of guava nectar and coconut water, mid notes of sunlit orchid, lemon twist, and wild orris, and dry notes of pink musk and vanilla cloud.
If you like fruity-floral scents, this just has that perfect blend of both worlds. I've tried most of the Sol de Janeiro fragrance mists, including the best-selling Cheirosa 62, the Cheirosa 68 Beija Flor, and the Cheirosa 40 Bom Dia Bright, and I have to say the new Cheirosa 48 is my favorite out of all of them. Personally, it took a minute for me to see the hype, and the scents eventually grew on me. But the minute I spritzed this on, I fell in love. My sister, who doesn't typically like fruity scents because she thinks they tend to lean "rotten fruit", even commented on how good the scent was. Not just tolerable, but actually good. I even spritzed some on in a public restroom, and someone stopped to ask what perfume it was. I swear I've never gotten so many compliments on a perfume in a day.
It's the kind of perfume that makes you feel sweet, sexy, and a totally confident - especially when people tell you how amazing you smell. It's definitely my go-to perfume for the season. It's important to note that I did receive the perfume to sample from the brand to test. However, once this bottle is up (if I ever get through one, it is HUGE), I'm definitely going to buy one for myself.
