2GO'S MV MASIGLA SETS SAIL, OFFERS FUN AMENITIES

(SPOT.ph) Taking a ship to destinations that can’t be reached by land is often just second choice to hopping on a flight. But 2GO’s newest ship, MV Masigla, may just change that.

SM Investment’s 2GO Group, the country’s largest integrated transport and logistics providers, on Friday inaugurated the latest addition to its fleet, one that offers amenities that might make you feel like you’re in a mall.

Here are things you can do aboard MV Masigla:

1. Get cozy in your cabin of choice.

MV Masigla offers sleeping accommodations depending on your budget, and prices may vary, too, depending on the date of your trip and your destination. If you’re the congenial one and okay to share space with multiple roomies, you can get a bunk on tourist class for about P1,975.43 one-way (based on our test booking for Manila-Bacolod). If you’re a couple who needs some privacy, there’s Business Class for Two for P4,136 per head. A family can get the Business Class for Six for P2,386 per head. And if you can afford to splurge, booking the Suite for Two will only set you back P6,079 each.

2. Get your caffeine fix at the cafe.

Get the feeling like you’re right back on land at MV Masigla’s full sized Cafe 2GO, where you can enjoy your choice of coffee plus some pastries to boot.

3. Chill at the lounge.

MV Masigla has a spacious lounge where you can sit back and enjoy the view of the seascape, read a book, or just take a break from life’s noise. It could be the spot for some much-needed contemplation.

4. Beat the high score at the arcade

If you’re in for some old-school gaming, MV Masigla has an arcade where you can pass the time while having some throwback fun.

5. Sing the miles away.

What’s a Pinoy ship without some good ‘ol karaoke? Sing while sailing at MV Masigla’s videoke booths, where you also get privacy from your fellow singer next door.

6. Do some last minute shopping.

In case you forgot to bring some essentials or want to shop away your boredom, the ship offers a convenience store and SM Group shops such as Kultura and Miniso.

MV Masigla travels routes connecting Manila to other major cities such as Bacolod, Cagayan de Oro and Iloilo. Book via 2GO’s official website.

Senior citizens get a 20% discount upon presenting a senior ID or any valid government ID showing their birthdate. Meanwhile, Persons with Disability, Medal of Valor awardees and students will have to go to 2GO’s corporate booking outlets or authorized retail outlets, or call 2GO’s customer service hotline 02 8528 7000 to avail of discounts
