Take a look at Victory Liner’s vintage bus

This type of bus is called Jardinera—an open bus with wooden seats, no doors, and no center aisle. According to Victory Liner, it was initially used to transport agricultural products like sugar cane, rice, and corn before becoming Victory Liner’s first passenger vehicle.

For history buffs, the Jardinera is a nod to a bygone era with a design known as a "Toastrack" or "Charabanc," which originates from 19th century France. The bus served the Manila-Olongapo route in 1945 following the end of World War II.

Although it may look old-fashioned, Victory Liner teamed up with Del Monte Motors to make sure the bus meets today’s safety standards.

Victory Liner also brought this vintage bus back during its 78th anniversary celebration in 2023, where it ran key routes in Pangasinan and Baguio.
