Other awardees include Qatar Airways, which dethroned Singapore Airlines as the best airline in the world. The other switch is the one between All Nippon Airways (ANA) and Emirates, with the latter moving up one space as the third-best airline and the former moving down to fourth spot.
Other awards include the World's Cleanest Airline and World's Best Economy Class, both bagged by Cathay Pacific Airways; the World's Best Cabin Crew by Singapore Airlines; the World's Best Business Class by Qatar Airways; and the World's Best Low-Cost Long Haul Airline by Scoot.

Considered to be the Oscars of the aviation industry, the World Airline Awards results from Skytrax's yearly Customer Satisfaction Survey. In a nutshell, Skytrax annually sends out the world’s largest airline passenger satisfaction survey in which passengers worldwide can nominate any airline as their favorite.
The survey allows customers to make choices as to which airline they consider to be the best. Passengers rate airlines on a scale of 1 to 5 for different facets of the air travel experience. The survey includes questions on cabin service, ground service, onboard products and amenities. One of the key features of the survey is the value-for-money rating.
In 2024, over 100 passengers of different nationalities answered the survey covering over 350 airlines. No payment or reward of any type is made to survey respondents, and all submissions were on a voluntary basis.
Aside from awarding the World's Best Airlines, Skytrax also annually bestows the World's Best Airport awards and the Skytrax Star Ratings.
