CHINESE MAN WITH FAKE VISA BARRED FROM ENTERING PHILIPPINES

Operatives of the Bureau of Immigration (BI) barred a Chinese man from entering the country for presenting a fake Philippine tourist visa.

Identified as Su Wenpeng, the Chinese man arrived at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) from Hanoi, Vietnam on Monday afternoon.

Su reportedly claimed to be traveling alone for a vacation in Bohol but the BI said they noticed inconsistencies in his tourist visa.

Immigration officers checked his document and confirmed it was a counterfeit Philippine tourist visa.

Su was excluded for being likely to be a public charge and for being improperly documented. He was also included in the BI blacklist, barring any future attempts to re-enter the country. — Sundy Locus/RSJ, GMA Integrated News
