TAMARA ECCLESTONE FUMES AT BRITISH AIRWAYS AS HER TEAM'S FLIGHTS ARE CANCELLED WITH JUST HOURS NOTICE - AFTER SHE JETTED TO IBIZA FOR HER 40TH

Tamara Ecclestone fumed at British Airways over a cancelled flight fiasco on Sunday.

The model and socialite, 40, took to her Instagram Story to share her fury with the airline after her team's flights home were 'cancelled with seven hours notice'.

It comes after she jetted to the Spanish island of Ibiza to celebrate her 40th birthday with her family.

She furiously demanded someone from the airline 'call her asap' after the replacement flights offered weren't until Wednesday.

She penned in the caption: '@british_airways Cancelling our teams flights home 7 hours before that are due to fly and offering replacement flight on WEDNESDAY is NOT ok.

'Please have someone call me asap.'

British Airways has been contacted by MailOnline for comment.

Last week and weekend Tamara was celebrating her 40th in style, chartering a yacht in Ibiza to party with her famous family.

The heiress was spotted boarding the luxury vessel on Thursday, the day before her milestone birthday, alongside husband Jay Rutland, sister Petra and their father Bernie.

Carrying her youngest daughter Serena in her arms, Tamara looked gorgeous in a bright pink and yellow kaftan as the group left a restaurant onshore and headed out to their yacht.

Her younger sister Petra, 35, dressed for the heat in a pale blue mini skirt and white vest top as she headed to a waiting dinghy with husband Sam Palmer.

Tamara and Petra's father Bernie Ecclestone, the former chief executive of the F1 group who has an estimated net worth of $2.4 billion, also joined the fun.

The 93-year-old mogul was seen being helped on board the boat by his wife Fabiana Flosi, 47.

Tamara's husband Jay Rutland and their two daughters Sophia, 10, and Serena, three, along with Petra's four children Lavinia, eight, twin boys James and Andrew, six and Millie, three, looked in great spirits as they enjoyed the family day.

Bernie and Fabiana's son Ace, three, was also spotted, while a team of nannies were on hand to help out with the kids.

Tamara has form for lavish celebrations, whisking her family away to the Maldives for Jay's 40th back in 2021.

The birthday trip is a rare chance for the family to all be together, with Tamara often talking about how much she misses her sister Petra, who lives in Los Angeles.

Petra and husband Sam tied the knot in July 2022, enjoying a lavish ceremony at Petra's £170 million London mansion, but now live together in the states with their children.

Tamara meanwhile has been married to art dealer Jay since 2013 and together with their daughters reside in a £70million London mansion.

Last week Petra told The Times magazine how she stays connected to her sister, admitting that she is her lifeline in her somewhat lonely life in LA.

'I miss my friends and family [in the UK]. But it's just more calm here. I like the slower pace, the early nights, the outdoor activities, the sunshine. And I feel less judged,' Petra explained.

'The hard part is that we don't have great friends. I haven't really clicked with anyone. They just flake a lot. Everything is so surface. Sam meets more people. He's a lot more outgoing and friendly.'

'I have Sam and I speak to my sister [Tamara] about 100 times a day.'

Petra and Tamara's mother is Bernie's second wife Slavica Radić. Bernie is also father to Deborah, 68, who he welcomed with first wife Ivy Bamford.

Bernie married his wife Fabiana, 46, in 2012.

He is the former Chief Executive of the Formula One Group and former co-owner of Queens Park Rangers.
