FAMILY FEARS TEEN WAS 'LURED' AWAY AFTER DISAPPEARING FROM CRUISE SHIP IN GERMANY

A 14-year-old American teen has mysteriously vanished in Europe, sparking fears from his family that he might have been "lured" away.

Aydin Brown, just 14, disappeared from the Caribbean Princess Cruise ship during a stop in Warnemunde, Germany, on the Baltic Sea. He was last seen leaving the vessel at the crack of dawn on July 4, and now his grandmother is terrified that he was "lured" off the ship.

The young teen was spotted for the last time in the early hours of July 4, stepping off the cruise liner solo, Rostock Police reports. His home state in the US remains unknown.

Princess Cruises has confirmed they're working hand-in-hand with German cops on a missing person case involving "actively collaborating with German law enforcement on a missing person's case involving a 14-year-old young man who disembarked from the Caribbean Princess in Warnemunde on Thursday morning without an escort."

Over on social media, Brown's cousin, Anne Yaktiyol, has voiced the family's dread, suggesting he might've been snatched by an unknown individual. She posted: "My worst nightmare continues to unroll. Aydin remains missing. It appears once he left the ship in Warnemunde, Germany, he may have been lured away."

Fox News has reported that the boy had a falling out with his gran, which led him to storm off the ship. By Thursday night, she disembarked and is now getting support from Princess Cruises staff in Germany.

The cruise company is also flying Brown's mother out to Germany, stating: "We greatly appreciate the swift response and ongoing efforts of the local authorities in their search for the young man."

The police are on the hunt for a witness who is shown in surveillance footage accompanying Brown on Thursday morning before he vanished. The authorities urge this individual to get in touch with them immediately.

Brown, the missing teen, is described as roughly 5'8 tall, possessing brown hair and eyes, and approximately weighs 220 pounds. When last seen, he was dressed in a grey, zip-up hoodie, and dark trousers.

He also had a large black, "AMAZON" branded backpack in his possession.

In a separate but equally astonishing incident, the US Coast Guard has performed a miraculous rescue operation after four divers went missing off Cape Fear during a leisure boat trip.

The identities of the rescued men have not been revealed, but they were found about 46 miles southeast of North Carolina's Cape Fear River. They had been aboard the 'Big Bill's' vessel when they didn't make it back to the surface.

Despite the favourable conditions of about 2-3ft sea with 10-knot winds, the search operation continued throughout the night.

To assist in locating the divers, an array of resources including an MH-60 Jayhawk helicopter crew, HC-130 Hercules aircraft crews, a 47-foot motor lifeboat crew, the Coast Guard Cutter Sailfish (an 87-foot patrol boat), and the Coast Guard Cutter Yellowfin were all mobilised.

Search crews from North and South Carolina, as well as some from as far away as Sandy Hook in New Jersey, were involved, according to officials.
