FOUR-DAY FOLK FESTIVAL RETURNS TO TOWN
A four-day folk music festival has returned to Herefordshire.
Bromyard Folk Festival kicked off on Thursday with acoustic folk duo Donnelly & South opening on the main stage.
A range of workshops, arts, crafts, and food vendors are to also feature.
The annual event launched in 1968.
Tarren, Amit Dattani, Banter, Janice Burns and Jon Doran are among the other acts to perform.
A number of family-friendly activities have also been planned with Keith Donnelly curating a family show and the Wlyd Thyngz creative group hosting a range of woodland workshops for younger attendees.
Ticket sales this year have had an upswing, said event volunteer Lynn Barker.
"Maybe the demise of other festivals [has had an impact], we are way above anything we've ever sold."
She added: "Because we are run by volunteers and we're run purely by ticket sales with a minimal amount of sponsorship it's really tricky, but we've been really lucky with keeping our head above water to be able to afford our budget needs."
Bromyard Folk Festival ends on Sunday.
