A kayaker sparked an emergency services search and rescue operation near Alderney's coast.
Channel Islands Air Search said on Facebook it was called out along with Alderney RNLI and a rescue helicopter from Cherbourg on Tuesday to search for a kayaker who had left the island.
The post said the kayaker was found and winched on board the helicopter before being transferred to the lifeboat crew.
A spokesperson for the Air Search team said the operation had "great coordinated emergency services team work" and praised the outcome as "successful".
