MAP REVEALED OF KING AND QUEEN'S ROUTE

Royal fans who want to welcome King Charles and Queen Camilla to Guernsey can do so thanks to a map of the royal route.

The royal couple will travel along Queen's Road, Les Granges and St Julian's Avenue on Tuesday morning on their way to St Peter Port seafront for the main events.

The King and Queen are visiting Guernsey as part of a two-day visit to the Channel Islands.

Well-wishers are being asked to get in place on the route by 10:30 BST and not to obstruct vehicles.

It is the first time since 2005 a British monarch has visited the islands.

The last was when Queen Elizabeth II came to Jersey.

In Guernsey, a centuries-old ceremony of homage to the King will be held on the St Peter Port seafront.

Other activities will begin at 10:00 BST before the royal couple arrive late morning, said the States of Guernsey.

The royals are also due to meet local politicians before a visit to Les Cotils to learn more about the island's environment, heritage and traditions.

The showcase will include the ongoing work to promote Guernesiais - or Guernsey French - local food production and biodiversity initiatives, organisers said.
