ORCHESTRA BRINGS MUSIC TO CITY ON DOUBLE-DECKER BUS

An orchestra is set to tour Hull's streets on a double decker bus to bring free live music to the city.

The Now That’s What I Call an Orchestra event will take place on 14 and 15 September.

The event is being organised by Back to Ours, a Hull-based charity known for delivering unique arts and cultural experiences.

Its artist director and CEO Louise Yates said the charity took pride in its "hyper-local approach" and that all events were "embedded in our communities".

She said: "Our events are always about people coming together, experiencing something special and importantly, having a good time.

“Seeing crowds gather with smiles on their faces never gets old, it always warms my heart.”

The event is in partnership with Eclectic Music, which will see its orchestra perform modern classics to movie soundtracks from inside the bus.

The events are part-funded by Hull City Council and no tickets are needed for the events, meaning residents can just turn up and join in.
