2 SMHCC BRANDS AMONG 10 BEST HOTELS IN PHILIPPINES

MANILA, Philippines — Two hotel brands under the portfolio of the Sy family’s SM Hotels and Conventions Corp. (SMHCC) have been named as among the best hotels in the Philippines.

Conrad Manila and Radisson Blu Hotel Cebu both bagged the Travel+Leisure Luxury Awards Asia Pacific 2024 as part of the top 10 best hotels in the country.

Both properties made it as two of the best city hotels in the country.

“These accolades are added feathers in SMHCC’s cap, which solidify the company’s thrust as one of the leading hotels and convention center operators in the country,” SMHCC said.

“SMHCC is poised to expand its brand footprint across the Philippines and provide more accommodation options to both locals and tourists alike, with the distinct warmth and hospitality that Filipinos are known for,” it said.

SMHCC was established to develop and manage the hotel and convention properties of the SM Group’s integrated property developer SM Prime.

Its portfolio is currently comprised of 10 hotel properties with a combined inventory of more than 2,600 rooms and over 42,000 square meters of leasable convention space.

The company has set sights on opening 1,700 new hotel rooms in the next four years, majority of which are in the provincial areas.

SMHCC is adding over 1,400 hotel rooms in Isabela, Laguna, Cebu South Road Properties, Cavite, Laoag City and Pampanga, while the other 300 rooms will be in Metro Manila to serve the growing local tourism industry.

The additional 1,700 rooms for both NCR and the provinces by 2028 are expected to generate livelihood opportunities that will directly and indirectly benefit local communities.

Aside from Conrad Manila and Radisson Blu Cebu, its other properties include Taal Vista Hotel, Pico Sands Hotel, Lanson Place Mall of Asia, Park Inn by Radisson Clark, Park Inn by Radisson Davao, Park Inn by Radisson Iloilo, Park Inn by Radisson North EDSA, Park Inn by Radisson Bacolod and the SMX Convention Centers and trade halls.
