CEBU PACIFIC TO RESUME ILOILO-HONG KONG FLIGHTS WITH P1 PROMO FARES

Budget carrier Cebu Pacific on Monday announced one-way promotional base fares for as low as P1 for direct flights between Iloilo and Hong Kong, which it is set to resume in October.

The flights from Iloilo will resume on October 27, 2024, and will be four times weekly — every Tuesday, Thursday, Saturday, and Sunday. Flights from Hong Kong to Iloilo will be every Monday, Wednesday, Friday, and Sunday.

The promotional fares started on Friday, July 26, and will last until Wednesday, July 31, and will cover flights from October 27, 2024 to March 29, 2025.

“With the resumption of flights to Hong Kong, CEB will be the only airline to operate international flights from Iloilo,” Cebu Pacific chief marketing and customer experience officer Candice Iyog said in an emailed statement.

“We hope this will also make air travel even more affordable and accessible for a wider range of passengers in the Visayas region,” she added.

Cebu Pacific currently operates flights to 35 domestic and 25 international destinations spread across Asia, Australia, and the Middle East.

The carrier earlier this month said it inked a memorandum of understanding (MOU) with Airbus that covers firm orders for up to 102 A321neo and 50 A320nwo Family purchase rights, which will be powered by Pratt & Whitney GTF engines.

The company in May said it expects to close the year with 95 aircraft, which will boost its full-year 2024 seat capacity by 12% to 15% compared with 2023. — GMA Integrated News
