SAVOY HOTEL MANILA CEBU FOOD FESTIVAL: A TASTE OF HOME

SAVOY Hotel Manila proudly presents the Cebu Food Festival from July 22 to 28, 2024. This landmark event showcases the collaboration of two esteemed chefs from Megaworld Hotels and Resorts (MHR).

Chef Kit Carpio of Savoy Hotel Manila joins forces with chef Coke Semblante from Savoy Hotel Mactan Newtown, uniting their culinary expertise to curate a weeklong extravaganza, dedicated to highlighting the vibrant flavors, diverse cuisine and rich culinary traditions of Cebu.

As Savoy Hotel Manila aims to shine a spotlight on the culinary treasures of the southern regions of the Philippines, the Cebu Food Festival promises to be a unique celebration of flavors and favorite dishes from the Queen City of the South.

Throughout the entire week, guests can delight in a delectable array of Cebu's favorite dishes, such as Humba, Balbacua, Manok sa Kawayan, Linarang, Monggo with Chicharon and more.

Additionally, the two talented chefs will be preparing a special Pungko-Pungko Basket, recreating the authentic street food experience of Cebu City's popular dining stalls known as pungko-pungkoan or carinderia.

This event also marks a collaboration between two dynamic general managers of MHR, Den Navarro and Jot Chiongbian, who planned this event immediately after the success of the Ilonggo Culinary Treasures Event in March 2024.
