So, to say it's a shame that we’re losing one of the most loved buffets—Spiral at the Sofitel Philippine Plaza Manila—is an understatement. The decades-old hotel, as you may have seen in the news, is halting its operations effective July 1. Heartbreaking, but fret not. 1| Café Ilang-Ilang at The Manila Hotel

The Manila Hotel is legendary for a reason. Its very own buffet restaurant, Café Ilang-Ilang, houses eight live cooking stations to spoil you with whatever it is you're craving. You can feast on Asian, Pan-Asian, Mediterranean, Italian, European, and Western dishes, to name a few.

For dinner, Café Ilang-Ilang specifically features different cuisines for guests to enjoy. The themes include: International Sunday and Monday, Mediterranean Tuesday, Asian Wednesday, Surf & Turf Thursday, Seafood Friday, and American Saturday.

Buffet Notes:

Breakfast is P1,950 per person. Lunch costs P3,295 on Mondays to Saturdays and P3,445 on Sundays. For themed nights, rates are at P3,445 from Sunday to Wednesday, and P4,090 from Thursday to Saturday.

2| Marriott Café at Manila Marriott Hotel

The best thing about this buffet is its open theater kitchen. Their accommodating chefs serve dishes à la minute, offering a vast range of palatable choices including Filipino, Japanese, and Chinese food.

What’s more interesting is Marriott Café has days dedicated for meat lovers, while the rest are for those in the mood to stuff themselves with seafood.
