COMCAST NBCUNIVERSAL PARTNERS WITH PRIDE LIVE AHEAD OF STONEWALL NATIONAL MONUMENT VISITOR CENTER OPENING (EXCLUSIVE)

LGBTQ social advocacy and community engagement organization Pride Live has entered a multi-year partnership with Comcast NBCUniversal.

The partnership comes ahead of the June 28 opening the Stonewall National Monument Visitor Center in New York City. The center, which commemorates the Stonewall Rebellion and other historical moments within the LGBTQ+ equality movement, marks the first LGBTQ+ center within the National Park Service.

The center will serve as an educational resource, offering a variety of programs like in-person and virtual tours, lecture series, exhibitions as well as a theater space and visual arts displays. Located at 51 Christopher St., the center opens on the 55th anniversary of the Stonewall Rebellion. Entrance to the center, which will also serve as the home base for Stonewall National Monument National Park Service Park Rangers, is free.

NBCUniversal will document the road to the grand opening, as well as live stream the event. The company's platforms will publish stories, air segments and create content that profiles the people and organizations who supported the opening, as well as firsthand accounts and other stories about the fight for LGBTQ+ rights. Following the opening, NBCUniversal will create rotating content and programming that will be featured at the visitor center throughout the multi-year partnership.

Comcast NBCUniversal's partnership with Pride Live is part of Project Up, the company's comprehensive initiative to advance digital equity.

The company joins Google, American Association of Retired Persons, Adam Lambert, Amazon, Booking.com, Christina Aguilera, Donatella Versace, Henry R. Muñoz III and Kaia Ferrari, Hudson Yards, JPMorgan Chase, Kors Le Pere Foundation, Mellon Foundation, National Park Foundation, Visit Philadelphia, and Trans Tech Social as founding partners of the center.
