HISTORICAL MUSEUMS IN BATANGAS, CAVITE REMAIN SHUT ON SATURDAY – NHCP

HISTORICAL museums in Batangas and Cavite remain closed on Saturday, according to the National Historical Commission of the Philippines (NHCP).

In a notice to the public on Saturday, the NHCP said it was due to the "continuing effects of the volcanic sulfuric dioxide emissions from the Taal volcano and its accompanying health and safety hazard for our personnel and guests." On Friday, historical museums in Batangas, Cavite, and even in Metro Manila, as well as the NHCP Central Office, were closed due to the smog.

"The NHCP urges everyone in affected areas to wear appropriate face masks for your safety," it wrote.

Museums in Batangas included those of Miguel Malvar and the People's Mansion, while the museum of Emilio Aguinaldo and the Bonifacio Trial House can be found in Cavite.
