OONA Insurance Philippines launches its innovative Smart Flight Delay Insurance for Filipino travelers experiencing delayed flights.
Through this new product, Oona alleviates the delay with an instant lounge voucher the moment a delayed flight is announced.
A first in the country, the paperless transaction feature makes it easy for customers to access purchase options via the Oona Insurance website, WhatsApp and Chatbot, all with GenAI capabilities.
Oona Insurance Philippines President and Chief Executive Officer (CEO) Ramon Zandueta says this product's affordability makes it accessible to all Filipino travelers. A customer can spend their time in the comfort of a lounge during the travel delay.
The product covers not just the departure, but up to four flights in the itinerary, including return flights. If the customer has companions, three people can be added for a minimal amount each.
Moreover, an individual is also covered for personal accidents up to P10,000 — either injuries or death — when riding as a passenger.
