ALDERNEY TO MAKE KING'S VISIT A PUBLIC HOLIDAY

A public holiday will be observed in Alderney to mark a visit to the island by King Charles.

The monarch and Queen Camilla are scheduled to tour the Bailiwick of Guernsey on 16 July.

The public will be approved by the States of Alderney at a meeting on the 10 July.

The government said it is developing plans for participating in the Guernsey visit, and will release details in due course.
